Lil Jon is putting party jams aside, at least for a while.
The “Turn Down for What” rapper, 52, will release a 10-track guided meditation album on February 16, PEOPLE has learned.
According to a report from TMZ, the upcoming LP is described as a “truth” reflection on Lil Jon’s personal life, which has focused on “fitness and wellness.” This album is a “by-product” of his recent interests.
Lil Jon (real name Jonathan Smith) has been supporting the meditation album news by sharing posts on his Instagram Stories and retweeting related stories about the project.

This isn’t the first time the hip-hop artist has shown a different side of himself.

“As we all know from the Dave Chappelle sketches, there are many sides to Lil Jon,” he tells PEOPLE. “This her HGTV show isn’t all about screaming and partying. It’s really about getting a feel for the vibe from the people, listening to the homeowners, [giving them] It’s a place where you can make memories with your family. ”
The show followed Lil Jon and professional designer Anitra Mechadon as they worked with a family to renovate part of their home. The two worked together to bring an outside-the-box idea to life within the homeowner’s budget.
“Anitra is always trying to balance and rescue,” the “Get Low” star said. “I’m like, ‘No, no, I’m just going to do this.’ [And she says,] “No, John. It’s not in the budget.”

When asked what his younger self would think about the direction of his career, Lil Jon replied, “He would think it was cool, because that’s how you can live a long life. “You have to, because music doesn’t always make sense,”’ he says. “I learned early on that you have to be able to adapt, change, grow, and always stay ahead of the curve because if you’re a little bit behind, you’re going to be left behind.”
