Haridwar, May 3 (PTI) Patanjali Research Foundation and Chennai-based SRM Clinical Trials Research Center will now jointly conduct clinical trials of Ayurvedic medicines.

A memorandum of understanding for this purpose was signed between the two institutions on Friday.

Acharya Balkrishna, general secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, said the memorandum will be a milestone in the history of Ayurveda.
Anurag Varshney, Director, Patanjali Research Foundation, said, With the help of this MoU, both institutions will work together to showcase the effectiveness of Ayurvedic medicine to the world in an evidence-based manner and its usefulness in the treatment of various diseases. He said he would prove it.
Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director of Research, SRM CCTR, expressed his happiness that this agreement will play an important role in giving global recognition to India’s ancient medical system.
