On how wrestlers are taking care of themselves now: “That’s because they’re not driving 3,000 miles a week. I don’t think they’re sitting in a car that long, but where do they get the energy to exercise and watch what they eat? Young players are learning lessons from players my age.”
Regarding sumo wrestlers using supplements instead of steroids: “[Wrestlers today] I have some great supplements, but no steroids. I believe that steroids cause many problems later in life, although I never thought of them that way when I was taking them. ”
On how rampant steroid use used to be: “I won’t say his name, but he’s a great guy in WWE. He’s a big name and was in a tag team as well. I saw him take 9cc right off the bat. 3cc Needle I think there were three bottles of it. Isn’t that good for you? Back then, if the recommended intake was 1 cc a week, people were taking 5 cc a week.”
