Keeping the Peace: Men’s Mental Health
For men, mental health is often called a silent killer. The numbers are staggering: According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, one in 10 men experience depression or anxiety. Studies show that fewer than half of men receive treatment, and more than four times as many men commit suicide each year than women. In our “Protecting Our Peace” series, WDSU anchor Daryl Forges interviewed Pastor Jonathan Everett of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and therapist Dr. Dana Andrus to discuss the issues men face and what can be done to make a difference.
