ASTANA – Spiritual leaders with great influence at regional and international levels will help tackle climate change, inequality and extremism and end conflicts and wars through unity, Kazakhstan’s parliament says. Prior to the roundtable, organized by the Vatican’s Office for Interreligious Dialogue and the Secretariat of the Conference of Leaders of World Religions and Traditional Religions, Asimbayev had an audience with Pope Francis.
The President of the Senate expressed his gratitude for the comprehensive support of the Holy See to the Conference, and expressed his gratitude for the Pope’s participation in the Seventh Conference, which will further strengthen global interreligious dialogue and develop spiritual diplomacy at the international level.
