A few years ago, Alba appeared on Martha Stewart’s Cooking Show and showed off one of her most popular recipes: homemade turkey meatballs.
An avid home cook and health advocate, Alba said she’s been committed to feeding her family healthy meals “since day one,” so when it came to creating this weeknight dinner, she wanted it to be hearty and nutritious.

How to make Jessica Alba’s turkey meatballs
In a large bowl, combine 2 pounds of raw ground turkey, 2 whole eggs, 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning, and 1/4 cup each of finely chopped carrots, onions, and zucchini. Finally, add 1 cup of breadcrumbs and 1 tablespoon of sea salt. Using your hands, mix the meat mixture until it is completely uniform.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion meat mixture into 1-inch balls and set aside on baking tray. Tip: Wet your hands with a little water to prevent mixture from sticking to your fingers.
Next, heat a few tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the meatballs on both sides until no raw meat is visible. Add 1/4 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth) to the skillet and continue to cook over low heat until the liquid has evaporated and the meatballs are cooked through.
From there, serve it any way you like, whether it’s dipped in tzatziki sauce, combined with pilaf, or tossed in saucy spaghetti — however you like it, it’s a hearty meal the whole family will enjoy.
