Jennifer Rose, 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was born on November 11, 1957 in Ludington, Michigan, the third of three children to the late James and Barbara (nee Dove) Betka.

Jennifer graduated from Ludington High School in 1975 and furthered her education by graduating from the School of Nursing at West Shore Community College.
She subsequently received her Shiatsu certification from the Greater Shiatsu Institute in Chicago and New York. Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (cum laude) and advanced certification in Acupuncture from Guangzhou University in China through an externship.
Jennifer taught at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago/Racine for 17 years as a professor (affectionately known as J. Rose), clinical director, curriculum developer and administrator of the Racine Community Clinic. She owned and operated Rosanthorn Herbs and Acupuncture in Racine.
She was deeply involved and committed to her community through numerous groups and organizations. Jennifer’s passion was providing health, healing and wholesomeness to those around her. She will be remembered for her compassion, kindness and willingness to serve humanity and all of creation. She lived and celebrated life in a way that brought joy and hope to all.
Above all, her deepest love was her partner, Li, and her children and grandchildren, and she lived her life with unconditional devotion to her family.
He is survived by his partner Li Witter, three daughters, Katherine Glover and husband Ryan Batch, Rebecca Dwyer, Jacqueline Glover and husband Brian Roddy, three grandchildren, Logan, Brayden and Lila, sister Mary Betka, brother Bernie (Chris) Betka, three legged companion Yoli Kenzo Finnegan Groot Van Gogh, many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

The family is planning a time to gather to celebrate Jennifer’s life, details of which will be announced at a later date.
