he is trying to make hairStory.
Los Angeles biohacker Brian Johnson, famous for his $2 million-a-year mission to reverse the aging process, claims he has overcome both baldness and gray hair in a chilling new video posted to YouTube. claims.
“Genetically, I’m supposed to be bald,” the 46-year-old declares at the beginning of the clip, which has already garnered more than 505,000 views.
The technology guru shared with viewers three strategies he uses to keep his hair shiny. This is a routine that forms part of Project Blueprint’s commitment to staying young forever.
“The best time to tackle your hair is before it starts falling out,” Johnson insisted, telling his followers in their 20s to take precautions before their hair thins or falls out.
Below are his three main strategies for his hair and the two products he uses to prevent it from going gray.
red light therapy
The first thing Johnson does every morning to keep her hair thick is red light therapy.
The technology guru wears a battery-powered red light therapy cap for six minutes and says the device “increases blood flow and also stimulates hair follicle activity.”
He said the research on the cap is “pretty good” and that while it’s not the most powerful step in his hair health protocol, it can be helpful when combined with other treatments.
local treatment
After using the red light cap, Johnson uses a topical treatment every morning.
“I apply this topical to my scalp every day,” he said. “You’ve probably heard of topical medications like Rogaine and Minoxidil 5%, both of which are effective.”
However, Johnson uses a special formula made from the following ingredients: Caffeine USP 1%, Finasteride USP 0.25%, Minoxidil USP 5%, Azelaic Acid 1.5%, Diclofenac 0.5%, Tea Tree Oil 5%. %, Rosemary Oil 0.37%, Ginkgo Biloba 0.05%, Biotin 0.01%, Melatonin USP 0.0033%.
He said the formula can be applied once in the morning and once in the evening for a more aggressive hair growth strategy.
micro needle
Johnson is also a proponent of microneedling, which he uses to “enhance the effectiveness of topical medications.”
During this procedure, your health care provider uses a roller with small, thin needles to move the area of hair removal and puncture the skin. It is believed that the small scratches caused by the needles stimulate hair growth.
Johnson, who also does professional platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, admitted that she hasn’t done microneedling consistently since then because she didn’t want to cause too much trauma to her scalp.
However, he told viewers that microneedling treatments “work.”
Johnson also revealed that he is testing additional laser treatments and will keep fans updated with the results.
Gray hair reversal
Meanwhile, Johnson also showed off a top to prevent gray hair.
The ageless biohacker started going gray in his 20s, with the first signs of gray hair appearing right near his temples. He said his lifestyle may have influenced this.
“It was a bit of a crazy time in my life,” he recalls.
“I was building Braintree, Venmo. I had three little babies, I was in a difficult relationship, I was trying to walk away from religion by nature… There was a lot going on. ” he said. “And I was really depressed.”
By his mid-to-late 30s, he said, he was “basically white.”
Johnson said she used to dye her hair at a salon and now uses two products to combat gray hair, but her hair itself is also dyed.
The two products he uses are GR7, an anti-hair fall and anti-greying treatment, which is applied three to four times a week, and Mayraki, a color herbal extract, which is applied once a week.
“We biopsied the hair and looked at it under a microscope and found that the color was being produced under the scalp, so it actually worked,” he explained.
He said people who are overwhelmed with hair loss treatments and don’t know where to start can start with using 5% romaine or the generic version of minoxidil.
“You don’t need a long prescription like I have,” he said.
Johnson is no stranger to trying new anti-aging techniques, some of which make her hair stand on end. He once received a blood transfusion from his 17-year-old son to keep his biological age as young as possible.
