The woman began attending Pilates classes at a local studio about six weeks ago because she thought it would help ease her back pain.
I started off by taking a few private lessons to get a feel for how to use the machines and the training flow, then I decided to take the plunge and get a full membership.
“Now I go about once a week depending on my work-from-home schedule,” she says.
But while the classes are great, there’s one member who’s really starting to annoy her: She seems to always bring her dog to Pilates class.
To be clear, she is a dog person and doesn’t mind if dogs are on a lead or near their owners, but members would never restrain a dog.
Rather, the puppy is brought into the studio, taken off-leash, and allowed to roam the studio while everyone gets ready for training.
“The dog is generally calm during class and has his bed, but when class is over he gets up and moves around and gets in the way of us tidying up and putting away our accessories,” she explained.
Besides Pilates classes, she knows members also bring their dogs to other ballet classes, where she has seen videos of dogs running laps around people while they were trying to exercise.
“to be honest [freak out] “If you’re trying to concentrate on your training and your dog is running around, you don’t want your dog interrupting your training. If you don’t want your dog interrupting your training, I’ll train at home with your own dog for free,” she said.
