While plant-based foods are revered by health-conscious people, animal-based foods offer unparalleled benefits for your hair and skin.

Adding these anti-inflammatory sources to your diet does more than protect your body from oxidative stress.

Small, oily fish at the bottom of the food chain have long been known as some of the best superfoods for hair and health, along with nutrient-dense products like beef liver.

Jennifer Meyers, a 41-year-old influencer and skincare enthusiast, chooses sardines and beef liver for their great hair health benefits.

In the YouTube clip, she explained: “All of the foods I consume contribute to my overall health, but I wanted to specifically focus on two important nutrients that I’m increasingly focused on feeding my body. .

“Over the past 6 months I have noticed (I can feel and see the difference) a huge change in the condition of my hair, skin and nails.

“There are two important nutrients that I actually intentionally feed my body with. The first is niacin.”

Vitamin B is an essential nutrient that acts as an antioxidant in the body, and Jennifer gets it from beef liver, which is “very rich in vitamin A.”

“My life changed when I started eating grass-fed beef liver,” she said. “My skin is better, clearer and more glassy.

“The pre-formed vitamin A in my liver had a significant positive effect on my skin.

“I love it,” she declared, adding that a modest 3 ounces twice a month is enough.

According to medical platforms such as WebMD, beef liver is one of the most nutritious foods on the planet.

“The other food I eat is sardines,” Jennifer said. She specifically buys canned water with spring water, and she likes to “eat the bones and skin to get calcium,” she says.

Choosing canned sardines with bones still in them will provide you with 325 mg of calcium, which plays an important role in maintaining hair health.

Sardines contain several beneficial minerals, such as niacin, in addition to calcium and various vitamins.

Another canned food that has benefited Jennifer’s hair and skin is wild sockeye salmon, which also comes with skin and bones.

Wild salmon, especially sockeye salmon, contains enough vitamin D to protect your skin from sun damage.

This ingredient also prevents hair aging thanks to its omega-3 acids and high levels of protein.
