Sometimes even influencers need to be influenced by a hypnotherapist.

Celebrity hypnotherapist Kim Friedmutter works with celebrities like Sharon Stone and David Hasselhoff, but she also helps social media stars overcome their fear of losing followers. There is.

Forget about posting. These influencers need to follow a pattern of behavior.

Because getting used to Instagram likes can have very unpopular consequences.

The addiction to constantly churning out new content often causes serious anxiety, especially about being cancelled.

“The branding and social media storm created a tsunami of mental health crises that we could not have predicted,” Freedomter told the US Sun.

“This is happening more out of fear of cancellation than actual cancellation,” she said.

“Of course, it revolves around, ‘What do I do then? Am I going to be expelled?'” she added.

“Absurdity is becoming more commonplace, and there is a growing urge to spread more absurd ideas and commentary on the internet.

“Shock value is appealing, but they don’t really know if they’re going to be celebrated or excluded. Challenge the envelope, but never open it.”

Unlike being fired in private, being “dethroned” on a public platform can be more damaging to influencers than their income.

“The clients I meet are looking to make a lot of money, and that’s pretty much their driving force,” she says.

“That’s fine, it’s an ambition, it’s a goal and they happen to be very talented.

As a last resort, I tried hypnotherapy to kick my vaping habit.

“Where cancellations become an issue is in the large forums where they occur,” she added.

“This taps into our primal fear of ‘village shame’ on a massive scale.

“There is a village of influencers online, with millions of followers.

“Shame is one of the most difficult emotions. When you’re feeling shame, it feels like it’s endless and will never end. This is a game changer.”

I usually like to do 5 sessions which cost $50,000.

“I’ve been doing ‘pattern breaks’ all day long because of this issue,” she added.

“It’s important to understand how they think and change their persistent behaviors to get different results.

Her hypnosis techniques involve diving deep and quickly into the subconscious mind.

“We’re getting to the heart of the matter. It’s a straight line from point A to point B,” she said.

For Friedmutter, the key is to replace undesirable behaviors with desirable ones.

pay for peace of mind

Trying to agree to give people a glimpse of your real life through your social media channels also costs real money.

“I usually like to do five sessions that cost $50,000,” she said.

Still, those at the top of their TikTok and Instagram games can probably afford it.

According to Forbes, some of last year’s biggest social stars earned tens of millions of dollars.

Top earners included Jimmy Donaldson, known as Mr. Beast, who has more than 300 million followers and earned $82 million in 2023.

He was followed by Olajide Olatunji, known as KSI on YouTube, who became a rapper and boxer after reacting to sports-related video games.

Olatunji also brought in a lot of money, $28 million to be exact.

Stars like Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez, each with hundreds of millions of followers, are among the highest-paid celebrities in social media.

Both are known to bring in more than $1 million per Instagram post.

Trying to always stay on the forefront of social media can also lead to adrenal fatigue.

“My clients have to be ‘on’ all the time,” she said.

“Imagine being addicted to cycling through content even while you sleep,” she added.

correction of mind

To combat this behavior, Freedomter implements “pattern breaks” throughout the day.

She also lets us in on the social media star’s dirty little secrets.

“You’ll hear influencers saying to people who see them in too deep, ‘Come on, touch some grass!'” she says.

She recalled recently working with a famous influencer who complained of suffering from sleep deprivation while traveling to appear on a podcast.

“He said he had hours of sleep on the plane, but he couldn’t get any rest. I’m talking about the deep rest he needed to rejuvenate,” she said. added.

“The ‘on switch’ will not turn off without my help, which is the mastery of the spirit of dedication.”

Burn it

Behind every successful post, there is likely a burnt out influencer.

“They have an overwhelming feeling of having to create content all the time, and they do,” she said.

“Some clients are creating trends, and others are jumping on the content bandwagon, but the end result is the same: burnout,” she added.

The author and former actress also pointed out, perhaps the biggest irony of all, that creating content doesn’t always make you feel “satisfied.”

When I analyze the problem of unhappiness with a particular client, it usually comes down to how they see life when it’s posted online, rather than how they see life as it really is.

Kim Freedomter

“Some clients see everything as content, including my work,” she says.

Freedomter described a particular instance in which a content creator approached her and asked her to participate, but she wasn’t willing to go that far. Guinness World Records Physical endurance event.

The athlete hypnotized her and demanded that she break all “physical barriers” in the name of getting more “likes.”

“This was basically disabling her body’s response and it wasn’t ecological. We decided it was too dangerous,” she said.

This is a post you’ll never see, at least not one involving Friedmutter, who helps sports stars “unblock” things that are holding them back on and off the field. ing.

Her claim to fame also ensures that movie stars don’t fall in love with their co-stars.

know the truth

Still, when it comes to social media stars, her biggest challenge is helping influencers see things in a new, more realistic light.

“When I analyze the issue of unhappiness with a particular client, it usually goes back to not seeing life as it really is, but rather how they see life when posted online,” she said. Ta.

“This usually leaves content creators unsatisfied,” she added.

I love the saying, “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as they are.”

Kim Freedomter

Even an account full of A-listers can’t save your favorite influencers from feeling abandoned.

Even everyday interactions can be affected by a loved one’s new social media status.

“As friends and family watch their loved one change from a so-called ‘average Joe’, they see an ‘influencer Joe’ becoming alienated and uninterested in normal life.” Friedmutter said.

“Family dinners, friendly gatherings, and other social connections are missed because every minute becomes about content, posts, reactions, etc.,” she added.

“Solitary behavior itself literally distances you from real social life, but of course it backfires on those closest to you.”

A picture or post may be worth a thousand words, but at what cost.

“I love this quote: ‘We don’t see things as they are, we see things as they are,'” she said.

“When a client comes to me with a dispute about devaluation or loss of value, I first look at how they have devalued their life and meaning within it.” she added.

“Most creators jump on the latest trends and move from topic to topic, whereas branding and marketing are slow to develop.

“The market moves so fast that content becomes cheap and fast. What’s good today is gone tomorrow. It’s about quantity and quality.

“That’s the nature of the delivery system.”
