Luxury health and wellness brand The Ranch is preparing to open its first East Coast destination on April 18 in the Hudson Valley near Tuxedo Park, New York.
Ranch Hudson Valley will open on a historic 40,000 square foot lakefront property, set on 200 wooded acres. We offer 3- and 4-day wellness programs of varying intensities that combine hiking, fitness classes, yoga, deep tissue massage, and plant-based meals.
Guests can choose the stay and intensity to suit their schedule and goals.
This new year-round destination will be the second property in The Ranch’s portfolio, joining its flagship location in Malibu, California.
“We want to open properties closer to East Coast guests and give them more choice in the length of their stay,” said Alex Glasscock, co-founder and CEO of The Ranch. We wanted to respect and satisfy this continuing demand.”
“Ranch Hudson Valley is ideally located less than an hour from New York City, Connecticut, and New Jersey. And given its idyllic location, this new space is ideal for off-campus retreats, conferences, and incentive travel. We hope it will be the perfect destination for corporate groups looking to incorporate a more health-oriented approach into their programs.”

Both feature the brand’s signature active daily schedule of up to six hours of low-impact exercise.
Similar to Malibu, guests can choose to start their day with a 2- or 4-hour hike, allowing them to further customize their stay to suit their schedule and goals.
Afternoons for both programs include a nap, strength training, restorative yoga, and daily massage.
To further enhance their stay, guests can take advantage of restorative facilities such as an infrared sauna and Kneipp pool, or add on additional services such as colonics, cryotherapy and energy healing.
“As the demand for wellness travel continues to grow, The Ranch Hudson Valley gives us the opportunity to diversify our programming,” Glasscock explained.
“By offering the option of a two-hour hike and the opportunity for a shorter stay, we hope to attract people who may not have been comfortable participating in the program in the past.
“Regardless of the program chosen, guests can start on the path to better health and achieve significant physical and mental improvements in their overall well-being.”

sense of place
Ranch Hudson Valley was originally built on the Table Rock Estate in 1902 by J.P. Morgan as a wedding gift for his daughter’s marriage to Alexander Hamilton’s great-grandson.
The intricate stonework and façade were quarried on-site and constructed by Italian masons, and the interior features rich wood, spacious fireplaces, and intricately carved stucco ceilings.
Local family-run firm Treestone Architecture and Construction was hired to restore and preserve the site’s extraordinary architectural features.
The property is surrounded by the 4,000-acre Ringwood State Park, which gives guests access to hundreds of miles of trails, and nearby 40,000-acre Harriman State Park, perfect for a morning hike.
Meanwhile, New York designer Steven Gambrel, principal of SR Gambrel, oversaw the interiors and design.
For this project, he designed all of the property’s 25 guest rooms, including a dining room overlooking the property’s lake and gardens, a spa, and the conversion of a 2,000-square-foot ballroom into a gym for afternoon fitness and yoga. The property also has a 5,000 square foot solarium adjacent to the property overlooking the grounds, offering year-round exercise and pool facilities.
Additionally, there is an outdoor pool attached to the on-site lake, allowing you to incorporate water activities into your fitness program during the summer months.
