If you’re reading this, you probably already believe in the power of the moon and its potential influence on our emotions. “The moon is powerful. In fact, the moon is powerful,” says healer and spiritual guru Emma Lucy Knowles. Her new book is crystal that manifests, is now on sale. “She rules over the water on Earth, and as such influences the emotional and physical bodies of the water within us. A full moon is perfect for letting go of what no longer serves us. It’s a great time.”
Now is the time. Tomorrow (September 29th), the last Harvest Supermoon of the year will occur. A supermoon occurs when the moon is closest to Earth in its orbit. This means that the moon will appear larger and more beautiful than usual. The “Harvest” supermoon refers to the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, which this year occurred on September 23rd.
“Harvest supermoons are so named because the moon is bright and light and because they occur at the time when farmers are harvesting their crops,” Knowles said. “This is the perfect time to let go, harvest the intentions you have set, plant more, and bask in the spiritual light of the moon.”
Below, Knowles shares how to make the most of this powerful lunar event.
supercharge your crystals
“Crystals are incredible sponges of light and energy, but my advice is to not wash them tomorrow night (scandalous, I know) but just leave them outside or on a windowsill. Why? Because your crystals are already filled with your energy and intentions, and have a deep connection to your innermost self. Bathing under a supermoon gives you you Recharge by charging. They cleanse you and reignite things that serve you, like a giant light cell phone charger. As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, the energy and light absorbed from the Harvest Moon makes its rays available long after the moon wanes. ”

Set or refocus your intention
“Setting or refocusing your intentions during a supermoon is extremely important. During a full moon, it can feel like your energy is being pulled out of your emotional closet, leaving you exhausted. Often. So get a list and be proactive about what you’re ready for and what you’d like to let go of. You can do this on the night of a supermoon or when you’re full. ” is not that important, but it is important to get it out of your head and onto paper. Think about who or what you want to let go of. Is there a person, emotion, pattern you want to release? Write it down, place a note on the windowsill under the moon (ideally place a selenite crystal to draw the moon’s energy towards you) and how Ask her if she’s ready for a road, path, or adventure. It can be anything, but don’t allow the humanity in you to diminish it. ”
check your feelings
“Like a crystal on the night of a supermoon, supercharge yourself by recognizing where your energy is being pulled. Take time to check in and listen to yourself. Masu [and what I need]. I ask myself what I’m being invited to do with this supermoon, whether it’s hunkering down and staying home, going for a sound bath, or meeting up with friends to recharge. Simply sitting and looking at the moon for a few minutes can help you sink deeper into its energy. ”
ground yourself
“During this period, you may feel a little groggy or light-headed, which is why it’s important to stay grounded. Spending time in nature is a great way to do this. When you walk around on the lawn, the moon pulls your energy upwards, literally grounding you.”
exist
“Meditate or sit with your feet on the ground and feel the breath flowing through your body as you visualize your roots extending deep into the earth. Walk, run, take a bath, do whatever you can to bring yourself back to the here and now. ”
