Ranikhet, June 21: The second day of the two-day ‘Holistic Health through Yoga and Integrative Medicine’ Continuing Medical Education (CME) kicked off here today with great enthusiasm and a diverse line-up of informational sessions. The event was organised by Ranikhet Military Hospital in collaboration with Bhole Baba Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre, Chiliyanau. The event brought together medical professionals, experts and enthusiasts from all the three services of the Indian Armed Forces — Army, Navy and Air Force — to explore the marriage of ancient healing practices with modern medicine.
The day began with an invigorating yoga session by Ujjawal Parashar and a guided meditation by renowned practitioner Colonel RK Gupta. Participants immersed themselves in the tranquil surroundings while enjoying the wellbeing benefits of these ancient practices.
The first lecture of the day, titled “Holistic Health: Ayurvedic Practices for Managing Lifestyle Related Diseases,” was delivered by Dr. Vijaysheel Upadhyay, Director, Bore Baba Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Centre, Chiliyanaullah. His insightful presentation highlighted the rich tradition of Ayurvedic medicine and the various applications of these principles in promoting health and treating diseases.
The enlightening sessions continued with renowned Ayurvedic physician Dr Priyanka Ramola delivering an intriguing talk titled “Balancing Life Stages: An Ayurvedic Perspective on Puberty and Pregnancy”. Integrating these Ayurvedic principles and practices can improve the health outcomes of women in India and across the world. Later, Colonel RK Gupta shared his wisdom on Sudarshan Kriya Yoga from Art of Living. Participants found that these practices had a tremendous impact on reducing stress levels, enhancing emotional wellbeing and improving the overall quality of life.
Renowned physician Dr Sabyasachi Paul spoke on Om Meditation and Pranayama at the workplace, providing valuable insights into the mind, body and spirit connection and how a holistic approach can help individuals lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
The day concluded with closing remarks by Colonel Prabhakar Gupta, Organising Committee Chairman and Commandant, Ranikhet Military Hospital, in which he expressed his gratitude to the guests, speakers, participants and organisers for their valuable contribution to making the CME a huge success.
