Hills Pet Nutrition should be ashamed of itself for trying to normalize sin with its latest commercial, “Shelter Pet,” which shows a gay couple holding hands after adopting a dog from a shelter. Hills appears to be promoting same-sex couples to please a small portion of the population while alienating a much larger number of potential conservative customers.
Homosexuality is unnatural, but this ad promotes an LGBTQ agenda. An even bigger concern is that the controversial commercial is airing during prime time, when children are likely to be watching TV.
It is not the job of companies to introduce these so-called social issues to children. Hill’s actions glorify sin, and no sin should be honored. The Hill family should never have crossed this line.
Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. But Hills would rather take sides in the culture wars than remain neutral. The Hills will listen to the left, so he needs to listen to us too. One day we will have answers for our actions, or lack of action. We must remain diligent and defend Biblical values and truth. The Bible says many times that homosexuality is wrong and God does not tolerate it (Romans 1:26-27).
