Industry experts share insights and research updates

EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. — More than 100 dairy industry professionals gathered in East Syracuse, New York this week to hear from industry experts about the latest trends and research in dairy herd health and nutrition.
“The Herd Health and Nutrition Conference is a great place to network while learning about the latest research in dairy nutrition, management and sustainability,” said Jenny, Chair of the Northeast Agribusiness and Feed Alliance Board of Directors.・Mr. Mills says.
Participants gained insight into improving on-farm feeding and health monitoring efficiency, in-utero heat stress, and feed management strategies. A panel discussion featuring university faculty, government leaders, and dairy producers discussed dairy cow nutrition and feed management practices that help reduce dairy products’ environmental footprint.

Participants included dairy nutritionists, business consultants, sales representatives, veterinarians, students, universities and extension professionals. For nearly 20 years, the conference has been hosted by Cornell CALS PRO-DAIRY and the Northeast Agribusiness and Feed Alliance (NEAFA).
