Herbalife and the LA Galaxy announced an ongoing partnership with the Garden School Foundation through their joint Community Partnership Fund. This year, the Foundation donated $45,000 to support the Garden School Foundation’s Seed to Table program at Leapwood Elementary and Annaly Avenue Elementary, which provides garden-based nutrition education to hundreds of students in disadvantaged neighborhoods. The partnership also helps students understand where their food comes from and the connections between healthy eating and community health, and environmental stewardship and healthy environmental outcomes.
Herbalife and the LA Galaxy have partnered with the Garden School Foundation since 2018. Since then, the program has reached more than 1,000 students and invested more than $380,000.
“We are proud to partner with LA Galaxy to continue our commitment to giving back to the world and our communities and promoting healthy living,” said Ibi Montesino, managing director, Herbalife North America. “Through the Seed to Table program, kids get to grow, harvest, cook and eat healthy food with their peers, all while having fun and learning healthy nutrition habits that will carry over into adulthood.”
