QUINCY — Quincy’s first “homegrown” cannabis dispensary is now officially open for sale.
Herbal Remedies, located at 4440 Broadway and 1837 Broadway, was acquired by Ayr Wellness for $30 million. This sale was first announced in July 2021.

Herbal Remedies was one of the first cannabis dispensaries licensed in Illinois in 2013 when the state approved the Compassionate Use of Medical Marijuana Program. Both medical and recreational uses are permitted in Illinois. Herbal Remedies is licensed and sells cannabis for both uses, and Ayr will do the same going forward.
The acquisition was approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation on May 11, 2022.
