Healers are the new therapists. As spirituality grows in popularity, a wave of exciting new healers – from dream healers to kundalini liberators, sound healers, astral projection practitioners, energy healers, psychics and paranormal healers – are breathing new life into the business of making people feel better. Slowly and steadily, the benefits are abundant as more and more people’s lives are being transformed.
Making that change
In her late 20s, struggling with the aftermath of a divorce and the responsibilities of single motherhood, professional coach, personal development author, and change agent Marti Bojnani made a firm decision to stop dwelling on the negative things in her life. Instead, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, digging into her beliefs, fears, and motivations. “After years of personal growth and development, I came to understand the power of self-development. It was this realization that led me to pursue formal coaching training and establish my own practice,” she says.
Marti feels that if she can help people move from fear to love, align their soul with their ego, and understand that life is to be enjoyed rather than merely endured or survived, then they will be living in alignment with their purpose – greatness.
Personal transformation
As he immersed himself in writing research papers and books, Marti began to attract the attention of consulting firms, who “realized that personal transformation was crucial for their clients, especially the top leadership teams, to effectively implement new strategies.”
Along the way, Malti practiced meditation and learned Transcendental Meditation as per the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi style. She then met Gita Belin, who teaches Dynamic Mind Practice (DMP). “This practice has helped me move from fear to love, from scarcity to abundance, from victimhood and blame to true mastery of my life,” she says, adding that we are all spiritual beings going through life, each on our own unique journey of self-discovery. “My role is to guide others to their own truth, without any attachment to the outcome.”
Akashic Records for Your Soul
For angel therapist, psychic and spiritual healer Tamanna C, coaching and healing work was a gift and calling. “When I started in 2009, I never thought it would become a career opportunity – I just tapped into my gift. Now, with more and more problems in the world, there is definitely a higher demand for healers and different therapies,” says Tamanna C. She says learning about the power of time, karma and above all, her own free will and how to use it to reshape her life has been life-changing.
“I support my clients with a variety of sessions, including Akashic Records readings and communicating with spirit guides,” says Tamannaah, who believes the Akashic Records can be the most powerful tool in your spiritual kit.
The Akashic Records are unique in that the information is focused only on the person whose record it is published to. Therefore, if you wish to learn about another person, you must first obtain their permission to access their records. The Akashic Records are often accessed through a Pathway Prayer, a vibrational frequency made up of precise sounds that grant access to the Akashic Records.
The benefit of spiritual healing is not only becoming aware of one’s life journey and one’s own energy, but also helping the client energetically heal lower vibrational energies and attract new vibrational energies with very little effort on the client’s part and more energy healing on the healer’s part.
Awakening
Kundalini yoga helped yogini, life coach, spiritual guide and inner transformation expert Vasundhara Tharware become more sensitive to subtle energies and easily sense people and places. “Kundalini yoga put me in tune with my inner power. At the age of 17, it awakened a sense of detachment from the material world and a desire to be selfless,” says the yoga expert. She was taking yoga too seriously and her family abruptly stopped her.
“Kundalini yoga is powerful. Hatha yoga is more about tapa (penance) and discipline, slow and steady,” she added.
Vasundhara says the science of yoga can help unblock Kundalini: “The aim of yoga is to awaken this serpentine energy that lies dormant coiled at the base of your tailbone and to bring it up through each chakra, penetrating the Sahasrara to become one with the universe, or superconsciousness,” she explains.
Unorganized Industry
Dr Trupti Jain, a clinical psychologist, occupational therapist and past-life therapist, believes spirituality has become big business: “This is dangerous because anyone who attends a two- or three-day workshop thinks they’re a healer or therapist,” she points out.
Healer?
She says there are people who call themselves “healers” after perhaps just taking an introductory course in Reiki, Pranic Healing, Crystal Healing, etc. She says there are so many of them that some even list on their business cards the 15 to 30 therapies they’ve learned.
“This is absurd. Will doctors fill in the cards with everything they know or only their areas of super specialisation? The government needs to come up with some policy regarding this unorganised sector which may be causing more harm than good,” says Dr Trupti.
Zero knowledge
Dr Trupti says he knows many people who have no medical or psychological knowledge in treating chronic mental illnesses. “When I supervise students, I tell them to approach me and consult me about any cases they are not comfortable treating. Most students need a year of support before they are able to treat them independently,” Dr Trupti explains.
Things necessary
Dr Trupti says there needs to be regular attendance at workshops and an active community for open discussion. In his mentoring practice, Dr Trupti says he will issue a certificate only if the student completes five cases, sends them to him and takes the online exam, achieving a 50 percent pass rate. “Online sessions will also be conducted so that students can learn how to work virtually,” he explains.
After years of personal growth and development, I have come to understand the power of self-awareness. By sharing my experiences, I aim to connect with my clients and readers and inspire them to find their own courage and self-trust. Marti Bojnani, Professional Coach and Transformational Facilitator
All the chakras related to all the fundamental things like food, shelter, water, sex and pleasure, money and success, health and fame, emotional and mental stability, and living with deep gratitude and great contentment, must be vibrant, pure and in harmony. Only then can the K Shakti rise.” Vasundhara Talware, yoga teacher, life coach and inner transformation expert
In this world of constant stress, we ignore the emotional trauma of our daily lives. People want to recognize their deep-seated burdens and heal and let go of the root causes, not just the superficial issues.” Tamanna C., Angel Therapist and Psychic
