Gypsy’s Rose Blanchard continues to give fans insight into prison life.
Rather than sit down and talk about her experience, the 32-year-old, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for her role in her mother’s death, gave her TikTok followers a taste of an energy drink she used to make. recommended. prison.
On May 18, Blanchard posted step-by-step instructions on how to make the sugary concoction on her page. She says her four main ingredients are Jolly Ranchers, Kool-Aid (Hawaiian Punch flavor), Strawberry Fanta, and Folgers Instant Her Coffee.
The influencer prefaced the drink by saying it didn’t contain alcohol because she didn’t “promote” alcohol on her page.
Blanchard said you need to crush the hard candy first. Her Jolly Rancher had been destroyed beforehand, so she moved on to making instant coffee. Blanchard mixed a “heaping” cup of coffee with a small amount of water in a plastic cup.
Once the coffee was brewed, she poured it into a large measuring cup.
“They don’t get Red Bull in prison, so everyone in prison makes this drink,” she explained. “So I guess this was made for everyone to drink ‘homemade Red Bull’.”
The next ingredient in the bowl was a single powder packet of Kool-Aid. Blanchard said that while the taste of Kool-Aid isn’t an issue, she thinks the rest of the additives make it taste worse.
After the Kool-Aid melted, she poured herself a generous amount of Fanta soda. Blanchard didn’t pour the entire soda, but she poured about a quarter.
Finally, Blanchard added two crushed Jolly Ranchers before pouring the entire mixture over ice. She warned against drinking the drink without ice.
“Now, I know what you’re all thinking: ‘This is so gross.’ But at first I didn’t like it, but then I started to like it,” she admitted. . “In my case, I didn’t like it the first time I tried it. But then I started liking it, so basically I had to make it myself.”
After taking a sip, Blanchard compared the taste to Red Bull and Monster Energy Drink, then recalled memories from his time in prison.
“When I was in prison, one of my roommates, she went to school. So one day she came back to our room from school and found me on my hands and knees cleaning the room, scrubbing the walls with a toothbrush,” she recalled. “She said, ‘Oh no, Gypsy’s going to prison again, because that’s what they call it in prison. We call this drink ‘The Luck.'”
Blanchard admitted that she still drinks “The Luck.”
Her video was released after many of her followers begged her to share more of her daily hacks during her seven years in prison. Blanchard recently confessed to using coffee grounds, pen ink, and toothpaste for her makeup.
