BOCA RATON, Fla., June 11, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Guy Fieri’s Flavortown brand, in partnership with Mon Chateau, is excited to announce the launch of the “Big Flavors, Big Heroes Flavortown Recipe Contest,” an exciting competition that will allow food enthusiasts across the country to show off their creativity and culinary prowess by submitting their best one-pan recipes for a chance to win an unforgettable experience while supporting a great cause.
Starting June 10, 2024, aspiring chefs can enter the competition by creating mouthwatering one-pan recipes. Whether it’s a sizzling skillet meal, a savory stir-fry or a delicious dessert, participants can let their culinary imagination run wild. To be considered for the competition, each entry must include a full ingredient list, detailed cooking instructions and a photo or video.
The deadline for recipe submissions is July 5, 2024 at 9pm EST, allowing participants ample time to perfect their recipe and submit it for judging. The ten semi-finalists will be announced on July 8, 2024, and the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite recipe.

The three-piece skillet set is being sold exclusively on Flavortown-cooking.com for $129.99, and everyone who votes will receive a $30 coupon to purchase the set for $99.99. The contest not only celebrates flavor and fun, but also supports an important cause.
During the contest, $10 from every sale will be donated to Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially modified custom homes nationwide to help veterans severely injured since 9/11 rebuild their lives. HFOT’s fully accessible custom homes feature more than 40 special modifications designed to help veterans live independently. These homes also feature fully accessible kitchens with pull-out shelves and roll-under access to countertops, sinks and countertops, making it easy for veterans and their families to prepare delicious meals.
“We are grateful for Guy Fieri’s contributions to our mission of building homes and rebuilding lives for our nation’s veterans who have been severely injured since 9/11,” said Brig. Gen. Tom Landwermeier (Ret.), HFOT Chairman and CEO. “The support of the Big Flavor, Big Heroes Flavortown Recipe Contest will raise awareness of our work and help more veterans access the specially adapted homes and kitchens they need and deserve. Good luck to all cook-off contestants, and may the best dish win!”
The Contest Winner will be announced at approximately 12:00 PM ET on August 5, 2024. The Grand Prize is a one-of-a-kind experience – a trip for two to meet Guy Fieri in person. The prize package includes round-trip domestic airfare to New Orleans, two-night hotel accommodations, two VIP tickets to Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate, two tickets to “The Big Game” in February 2025, a personalized and autographed 12-piece Flavortown Laser Titanium Cookware set, and an exclusive meet and greet with culinary icon and Mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri, in person.
“We’re excited to launch our ‘Big Flavors, Big Heroes Flavortown Recipe Contest’ and celebrate the culinary creativity of home cooks across the country,” said Guy Fieri. “We’re thrilled to partner with Homes for Our Troops to show some love to our brave military personnel, and we can’t wait to taste the winning dishes and meet our lucky winners!”
Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Laser Titanium cookware is the first of three new product lines launching this year. All are manufactured without the potentially harmful chemical coatings (PFAS, PTFE, PFOA) used in many products currently on the market. The Laser Titanium line offers a safe non-stick, non-toxic cooking surface that is three times harder than stainless steel, dishwasher safe and oven safe up to 700 degrees. Flavortown Laser Titanium cookware will be available on Amazon.com and Macy’s starting in June.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Guy Fieri and his Flavortown brand to bring this exciting new recipe contest to creative cooks across the country,” said Corey Jacobson, senior vice president of sales and marketing at manufacturing partner Mont Chateau. “The innovative new technology offered by our Flavortown Laser Titanium cookware is sure to bring more flavor and fun to your cooking experience without the use of any chemicals.”

About Homes For Our Troops (HFOT)
Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted, custom homes across the country to help veterans severely injured since 9/11 rebuild their lives. Most of these veterans have suffered life-altering injuries, including multiple limb amputations, partial or complete paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence that veterans sacrificed in defense of our country, allowing them to focus on their families, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. HFOT builds these homes where veterans choose to live, and stays connected with veterans after they are delivered to their homes, helping them rebuild their lives. Since our founding in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent goes directly to program services that support veterans. For more information, visit www.hfotusa.org.
