FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Golfers across the Central Valley will soon be heading to the green for their mental health.
The first Fresno Tee Off for Mental Health Golf Tournament is scheduled to be held at Eagle Springs Golf and Country Club in Friant.

“I had a family member whose life was taken, and I had a hard time early on as a parent,” Kina McFadden said.
“I think in the early ’90s, my brother was having some mental health issues,” Andre Covington recalled.
Covington is a comedian and radio host. He uses his platform to raise his awareness about the Valley’s mental health crisis.

A golf tournament will be held in Covington, with a portion of the proceeds going to 4C Children and Family Services, a Fresno nonprofit. The organization aims to address the challenges faced by at-risk children and families in the field of mental health.
Event coordinator McFadden said it’s important to support mental health organizations that are making a difference in the community.
