Gold Fitness improves the health of middle-aged men through functional training

Jason Goldsmith has been a fitness enthusiast long before catchphrases like “health and wellness” became trendy. While studying political science at Michigan State University, he chose to spend a summer interning in the heart of Washington, DC. It was then that he realized that his true calling was not in politics, but in personal training. Driven by his newfound passion, Goldsmith changed his focus to understanding human anatomy and exercise physiology and earned a certification in fitness instruction.

After graduating, Goldsmith married and started a family. As his life unfolded, he felt drawn to a more stable career path. In the 1990s, Goldsmith says, personal training wasn’t as established as it is today. He pivoted to digital his marketing career, where he has been successful for many years. Despite his professional success, his love for fitness never waned. Goldsmith currently trains clients under his own brand, Gold Fitness. The brand is built on his personal fitness experience and extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. His target audience is middle-aged men at a beginner to intermediate level who need to learn how to exercise and adapt to changes in their bodies. Mr Goldsmith, 52, has also struggled with the ups and downs of weight gain and the unique challenges that tend to present themselves at this stage in his life. “I continue to grow as a professional trainer as I have overcome many of my own physical issues and illnesses,” he confessed.

At the heart of Goldsmith’s philosophy is the belief that true health begins from the inside out. “Healthspan is more important than lifespan,” he said, stressing that his core purpose is to make his customers healthy and keep them healthy. His workouts prioritize freedom of movement, cardiovascular fitness, and functional strength training, all aimed at ensuring you enjoy a positive quality of life. Goldsmith likens his approach to preparing athletes for a specific sport. In this case, sports are simply about moving your body and living your life well.

Goldsmith considers himself more than just a fitness coach. “I consider myself a collaborative health professional who promotes healthy living and disease prevention.” His expertise goes far beyond traditional training, including corrective exercise, cardio It includes a wide range of fitness mastery, including programs focused on conditioning, senior fitness, post-cardiac rehabilitation, and type 2 diabetes. He is not looking for his lifelong customers, but instead aims to help people learn how to exercise independently and live healthy lives. He may also help clients obtain their own set of equipment so that they can be in charge of their own fitness routine.
