Dr. Jennifer Ashton is cleaning up on ABC at the end of June.
The “GMA3: What You Need To Know” co-host and morning show star has announced her departure from ABC News after 13 years.
“It has been an honor to appear on ABC and spend the past 13 years reporting on some of the biggest health issues in the country and around the world,” Ashton said in a lengthy Instagram post. “My colleagues have become more than friends, they’ve become like family, and they’ve been there for some of the most professional moments of my life. I feel lucky to work with some of the best people in the industry. Masu.”
Dr. Ashton is leaving to focus on her new women’s wellness company, aptly named Agenda.
Ashton, known simply as “Dr. Jen,” is a fan favorite on “Good Morning America” and reports across the network on all platforms as ABC News’ chief health and medical correspondent. She first rose to fame as a regular expert on “The Dr. Oz Show,” and then appeared on the syndicated talk show “The Doctors,” a “Dr. He served as co-chair for three years. .
