Bishop Joel R. Peebles and his wife, Rev. Yolanda, shared their expectations and vision for the event in an interview with Get Up Morning’s Erica Campbell. Bishop Peebles highlighted the unique approach of free registration, saying, “We want to use this as a time of evangelism… We have to open the doors freely.” This bold move is aimed at removing financial barriers and sending an open invitation to both seekers and believers.
Pastor Yolanda emphasized the importance of empowering women within the church. “In a time when women are over-sexualized and undervalued, we want to unite women,” she said. “We want to highlight the greatness of God and women.” Her focus on unity and uplifting women underscores GUF’s holistic ministry approach.

The gathering is expected to be a spiritual power spot, featuring well-known speakers and musicians. Bishop Peebles is excited about the event, especially the opportunity to be reunited with legendary musician John P. Kee. “I haven’t hugged my brother in years,” he said, emphasizing the personal and emotional significance of Kee’s participation.
Besides the star-studded lineup, a central focus of the gathering is to foster a global support system for pastors. “We hope that pastors around the world will not have to go into the pastoral ministry alone,” Bishop Peebles said. “This is about us coming together as brothers and sisters to help each other through the most challenging time in the history of the world.” This vision of unity and cooperation is at the heart of the GUF’s mission.
