Strawberries and cream are a classic summer dessert, but Giada De Laurentiis has created something new using different fruits. This delicious and super easy to make dessert is a delicacy and a “summer flavor explosion.”
The Giadzy founder shared her recipe for Chocolate Hazelnut Grilled Pineapple on Instagram, and it’s as delicious as you’d expect. “It’s a fresh and unexpected flavor combination that tastes amazing together,” De Laurentiis wrote in the caption, also explaining the recipe’s highlights: “The generous addition of vanilla mascarpone, chocolate hazelnut spread, and caramelized pineapple creates an explosion of fresh summer flavors. The hazelnuts add the perfect crunch to the whole thing.”

Start by grilling the pineapple slices – they’ll be done in about 3 minutes per side – then whisk the mascarpone mixture on top and drizzle with a chocolate hazelnut spread or whatever you like – all in just 10 minutes!
“Who knew this flavor combination could be so delicious,” De Laurentiis asked in an Instagram Story, calling the dish “too good.”

If pineapple isn’t your thing, the Italian chef has plenty of other dessert recipes to choose from, including one using orange and lemon. [the fruit is] “It’s far from perfect, and it ends up a little soft, but I love making this dessert,” she said in a March Instagram video. “It’s ricotta with berries, a little bit of syrup, caramel croutons… so it’s kind of like using leftovers and recreating them.”
