The Gettysburg Nature Alliance invites individuals to enjoy tranquility in a historic setting during an upcoming meditation class at the Gettysburg Nature Alliance. saxbridge barn. Starting April 18, these sessions will run every Thursday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm for six consecutive weeks. Set against a picturesque backdrop of Sachs Bridge and fields, this barn provides an idyllic setting for meditation for both experienced practitioners and beginners.
Led by experienced instructor Julie Albert, participants will work through a variety of techniques including gentle movement, pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditative practices such as mindfulness, guided meditation, and loving-kindness meditation. Julie has been extensively trained in the field of yoga and meditation since 2002, and she became a certified instructor in 2011, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her classes.


Classes cost $7 per session or $30 for all six sessions. However, Gettysburg Nature Alliance members can enjoy these sessions for free. Advance registration is required as space is limited. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, yoga mat or meditation cushion, blanket, and comfortable clothing for the session.
