Farming is definitely one of the more useful skills to have in case your civilization is wiped out by a catastrophe. Most post-apocalyptic survival games usually feature some sort of farming mechanic, but Fractured Veil does it noticeably, considering it’s set in Hawaii, a lush and highly fertile tropical island. Missing.
This situation changed with the addition of the game’s first farming system. This system not only frees you from killing mutants, but also allows you to grow your own food and harvest materials from 20 different plants. In addition to basic farming tools like shovels, watering cans, and composters, you’ll also have access to new resource nodes where you can collect soil, sand, and volcanic ash for use in your personal garden.
Seeds can be harvested from the plants themselves or purchased from existing NPC vendors who currently sell agricultural items.
Apart from the farming system, the game’s latest update introduced new crafting recipes, brought back sewer dungeon loot, and added ziplines at various points on the island. For more information, check out the full patch notes on the Fractured Veil Steam page.
