13 years have passed since then skyrim. Similarly, The Elder Scrolls 6 won’t be here for a while either, as the next Tamriel tour waits in line behind Starfield Shattered Space, and there’s no way Bethesda has anything else up its metaphorical sleeve. No one knows what you have. The lands of House Chiefs, Spriggans, and Septims may seem far away now, but some legends never die. Led by two of his developers from the original Elder Scrolls Arena, the expansive new RPG serves as a spiritual successor to the widely beloved Daggerfall. PCGamesN is coming to Kickstarter soon, giving you an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek.

The Wayward Realms is an RPG game in the full traditional sense. Choices matter. Everything is open. And the entire story is driven by player agency. If you rebel against the heavily written settings of Skyrim or Fallout 4 and want something more flexible and self-defining, The Wayward Realms explores that particular CRPG sensibility. It was developed by Ted Peterson, whose credits include Morrowind, Oblivion, Elder Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall, and Julian Lefay, who primarily worked on his first two games in the Bethesda series. being led.

“We’re working on a spiritual successor to The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall,” Peterson said. “The Wayward Realms is the most epic RPG ever. The goal of The Wayward Realms is to bring scope, choice, consequences, and role-playing back to RPGs. As we revisit complex systems, we are pushing new boundaries with the latest technological achievements thanks to Unreal Engine 5.”

Wayward Realms is set in a grounded, semi-realistic yet fantastical world called Archipelago. In Spring 2024, developer OnceLost Games will launch a Kickstarter campaign. The idea is to raise money to complete an early access release of The Wayward Realms before purchasing the game to potential publishers.

The launch of Early Access allows you to explore a single area of the archipelago and experiment with magic, combat, quests, and the selection system. If you contribute to Kickstarter and participate in the Early Access launch, you’ll receive a copy of The Wayward Realms once it’s fully released. You can wishlist The Wayward Realms on Steam or check out the Kickstarter here.

Or get busy with some of the best games like Skyrim, or perhaps the best fantasy games available on PC.
