LGBTQIA+ focused digital healthcare provider FOLX Health announces a partnership with Crisis Text Line to provide FOLX members with free text-based mental health support services 24/7.
Crisis Text Line is a global nonprofit organization that provides free, confidential, text-based mental health support in English and Spanish.
This partnership increases access to support for FOLX members. The mental health epidemic affecting the LGBTQIA+ community.
Through this partnership, FOLX members can contact a live volunteer crisis counselor by texting 741741, giving them 24-hour access to a trained counselor.
50% of texters using Crisis Text Line identify as LGBTQIA+, and 9% identify as transgender, agender, or genderqueer. A quarter of the nonprofit’s users report having no one else to talk to with their mental health concerns.
