MILLERSPORT – It all started with a car accident.
“As a child, I dreamed of helping people,” says Fawn Hitchcock Hall, “I wanted to help those who had no help. I dreamed of becoming a pharmacologist and creating new medicines to help those who couldn’t find relief from pain. I didn’t know then that there was an entirely different agenda I could help.”
Currently, Hitchcock Hall owns and operates An Acupuncture Approach in Millersport.
“I chose the name because I wanted it to be a fresh approach to health and wellness planning,” she says. “I am a National Board and Certified Acupuncturist Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a licensed acupuncturist through the Ohio Medical Board.”

Hitchcock-Hall grew up in Hebron, graduated from Lakewood High School and then earned a degree in pharmacology from Ohio State University in Newark.
“My plan was to help develop new medicines for people who don’t have relief from their health problems,” she said.
“But after being in a few car accidents, my studies changed,” she says. “I enrolled at Central Ohio Technical College and graduated with an associate’s degree in computer programming. I then attended the American Institute of Alternative Medicine to get a master’s degree in acupuncture.”
“After graduating from COTC, I realized that medications and surgery were doing very little to ease my pain and that I couldn’t work a desk-bound job,” she says. “My pain management doctor told me there was nothing they could do for me other than prescribe medication, and I felt hopeless. He then asked if I’d ever tried acupuncture, which I hadn’t, so he referred me to Dr. Theresa Quinlin. After my first treatment, I found better pain relief than the medications could. In that moment, I felt like I’d discovered an ancient Chinese secret.
“The impact acupuncture had on my body and my life prompted me to begin my career as an acupuncturist,” Hitchcock-Hall said. “I went to acupuncture school at AIAM and graduated in 2009. I then passed the national exam and became licensed in 2010. I started my own business in 2010 called An Acupuncture Approach.”

Gwen Wallace started as a client in 2011.
“Fawn is professional, compassionate, talented and dedicated to her goal of sharing the blessings of healing,” Wallace said.
“I felt like I was drawn to acupuncture for a reason,” Hitchcock-Hall said. “I knew it was a way to make me feel better, and I wanted to help others, especially those who, like me, felt like they had nowhere else to turn to for relief.”
“I help others because that’s what we should all do,” she said. “Through pain and suffering, I found a way to help others. I love what I do. I’m passionate about it. I’m so grateful for where life has led me.”
