
MARYSVILLE – The Union County Department of Human Services and the State of Ohio are offering the 2024 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which allows eligible seniors to receive $50 in the form of a plastic card or mobile application to use at their local farmers market.
To qualify, seniors must be 60 years of age or older and earn less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level based on household size*.
The Senior Services registration event will be held June 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Union County Services Building, Meeting Rooms A and B, 940 London Ave. Seniors can also apply online at aging.ohio.gov/SFMNP. Seniors who need help completing the online application can come to the registration event at the Union County Services Building on June 20. If you apply online, you will need an email address for the mobile application.

*The income thresholds for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level) are as follows:
Single-person households, monthly income less than $2,324.75
Two-person household, monthly income less than $3,151.17
Three-person household, monthly income less than $3,980.58
Four-person household, monthly income less than $4,810
Five-person household, monthly income less than $5,639.42
Six-person household, monthly income less than $6,468.83
