The event will begin at 7 p.m. on June 7 at Mount Zion New Testament Church of God. On June 8, the meeting will continue at Way of the Cross Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. meeting at the same location. The final session on June 9 will also be held at Way of the Cross Baptist Church, with sessions from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Rev. Enoch King, senior pastor of Way of the Cross Baptist Church in St. Croix and event organizer, emphasized that the goal of the conference was to “bring believers together and foster unity in our faith journey.”
The conference, which will run from June 7 to June 9, will feature sessions encouraging insightful workshops aimed at deepening understanding of the Christian faith and embracing the call to be effective witnesses for God.
The Empowerment Conference will feature notable speakers such as Pastor John Jenkins of Glenarden First Baptist Church, known for his dynamic and engaging teaching. Additional speakers include Bishop Carl A. Richardson, Dr. Gary Laumeyer and Pastor Darryl Archibald, each bringing their own unique perspective to move the conversation closer to God and exploring innovative ways to share the gospel.
Interactive discussions, networking opportunities and breakout sessions are intended to give participants the tools and motivation to strengthen the bonds of faith and community. “Move Now is a call to action,” said King, emphasizing the conference’s commitment to inspire participants to become active in their communities and churches.
