Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakri Eid, is a festival celebrated by Muslims around the world to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of submission to God. It is celebrated annually on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. On this day, Muslims perform the Qurbani, or sacrifice, followed by special Eid prayers. Families gather together and eat a feast that usually includes the meat of the sacrificed animal. Eid al-Adha 2024 With Eid-ul-Adha just around the corner, here are some tasty meat recipes you must try. From mutton korma to flavoursome dal gosht, enjoy these delicious Eid-ul-Adha 2024 meat recipes.

Bhakri Eid 2024 is just around the corner and we can’t wait to enjoy the delicious food that accompanies it. The festival is incomplete without the flavourful and mouthwatering biryani. While biryani is undoubtedly the highlight, other meat dishes prepared during Eid are also flavourful and delicious. Here are 7 meat dishes that you must try on Bhakri Eid. We’re not talking about mutton biryani.

Buna College

Bhuna Kaleji is a flavoursome dish and an Eid speciality of Uttar Pradesh. The liver of a sacrificed goat is cooked with flavoursome spices, chopped onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies until it melts in your mouth. It is usually eaten as an appetizer but tastes best with rumali roti, a soft, thin Indian flatbread.

Mutton Korma

To make Mutton Korma, fresh lamb or goat meat is used. Spiced korma is essentially a gravy dish, traditionally made with goat or chicken meat and a mix of spices to add flavour. Galouti Kebab

Lucknow’s famous galouti kebabs are delicious little mutton cutlets that are chopped into small pieces, mixed with a variety of spices and shallow fried until golden brown. Best served with pudina (mint) chutney, galouti kebabs melt in your mouth the moment you take a bite.

Nari Nihari

Nirhari is a tender stew made by slow-cooking mutton and a spice mix. The best flavourful Nirhari is usually made on special occasions such as Eid and Ramadan days as it is simmered for hours to bring out the flavour. Nirhari can be made from chicken, mutton, lamb and beef, but the best Nirhari are usually made from goat or beef.

Paya soup

Paya soup is made from a leg of goat or lamb. The soup is usually thick and served with naan or kapus. The soup is made by slow cooking the leg of goat with spices. Paya soup has medicinal properties and is said to be good for the bones.

Dal Gosht

As the name suggests, Dal Gosht is a fusion of lentils and meat. Two or more types of lentils are combined and usually masoor and chana dal are used to make Dal Gosht as it gives a creamy texture to the gravy. A perfect dish for Eid-ul-Adha, this dish can be served with rice, roti, naan or paratha.

Yakhni Pulao

Originating from Persia, Yakhni is a soup made with boneless meat, usually mutton or beef. It was brought to India during the Mughal invasions. Yakhni pulao is a dish made with this tender meat and basmati rice. Unlike biryani, it is not very spicy, but its rich flavour is surprisingly satisfying and healthy.
