New business… The Yeadon Chamber of Commerce held a grand opening ceremony for the Wellness Huddle on Thursday, June 6. The chamber is officially gearing up to start a new chapter and is excited to offer new things for the community to participate in beyond chiropractic care. These changes include a cafe and farm stop. Wellness Huddle has a new building and new members joining the business, which was originally founded in December 1999 as Edon Family Chiropractic.
Nearly 25 years later, the name has evolved and morphed into what it is today, with a new perspective and philosophy, and the business has grown significantly.
The name change from Edon Family Chiropractic to Wellness Huddle was something owner Dr. Michael Miller felt was necessary to let the community know that the business offers more than just chiropractic care.
“It’s important to work with patients to figure out where they want to go on their health journey and then help them get there,” Dr. Miller explains.
Our business philosophy is built on the foundation of whole food nutrition – what you put in is what you get out – in other words, health and better health starts with what you put in.
It was their expanding philosophy that led them to purchase the building they currently occupy.
The building was originally purchased two and a half years ago and, although they have operated out of the clinic side of the building for the past two years, the team has been hard at work preparing two other areas of the business: the Wellness Café and the Wellness Farm Stop.
While the Wellness Café is not yet open at this time, it will be a partnership to provide healthier beverage options to the community.
They’ll be serving coffee and tea that’s actually good for you, according to business operations manager Angelia Keith Flegal, and eventually, freshly baked bread and other bakery products will also be available for purchase.
Wellness Farm Stop is the most expanding part of the business: It is a completely non-profit arm of Wellness Huddle and has its own board of directors.

While the Farm Stop isn’t yet up and running, it will offer local residents an opportunity to be involved in the food procurement process.
All of the food distributed at Farm Stop is grown and harvested locally. The idea is for local people to bring the fruits and vegetables they grow and share their growing techniques. Wellness Farm Stop also works with local farmers to source local dairy and meat.
To celebrate the upcoming expansion opening, Wellness Huddle hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in conjunction with the Edon Chamber of Commerce on the morning of Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Dr. Michael Miller and his staff gave a tour of the building and spoke about the future outlook for the business.
While some aspects of the business are still waiting for final details to be finalized, Wellness Huddle is open, running, and waiting to help you on your wellness journey.
