Lutz (Broome), Florida — On May 22, the Tampa Bay area is getting a new destination for dog wellness as Scenthound opens its first location at 17663 N Dale Mabry Hwy in Lutz. The new ‘Scenter’ is part of a planned expansion by local franchisee Amanda and Adrian Alvarez. aims to make preventive care and daily hygiene available to all dogs in the community.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvarez are Florida natives with deep franchising backgrounds and chose Scenthound to diversify their business portfolio. They have ambitious plans to open two more stores soon in Trinity Chapel and Wesley Chapel.
“Scenthound is an industry leader in dog health,” says Adrian. “Dogs are not just pets, they are members of the family who share our homes and lives,” he said, emphasizing the importance of dog care that adapts to economic changes.
Amanda highlighted the Scenthound location’s holistic approach, providing flexible care for dogs with special needs such as anxiety and physical disabilities. “No misunderstood dog will be turned away here,” she said.
The couple, who have been married for 13 years and are the parents of three daughters, are committed to educating the community about the importance of regular dog care. Balancing her role as a mother with her role as a business owner, Amanda says, “Scenthound has made my life easier, and we are looking forward to bringing that comfort to more of Tampa.” “I want to spread the word to the residents,” he said.
The new Scenthound will create approximately 10 local jobs and provide a range of services from basic hygiene to more specialized care. Each visit includes a ‘basic hygiene’ package and a detailed health check focusing on your dog’s skin, coat, ears, nails and teeth.
