SLOATSBURG, N.Y. — What do Gilded Age charm, plant-based cuisine, and 5:30 a.m. wake-up calls have in common?
It’s all part of the experience at The Ranch Hudson Valley, a wellness resort opening later this month about 45 minutes from the Big Apple.
The 25-room property is the East Coast outpost of The Ranch Malibu, a California-based cult favorite that opened in 2010 and is known as a tightly controlled wellness resort.
Fans of the original resort can expect to find some key similarities to the Hudson Valley property. Guests can choose his 4-day or 5-day version of the brand’s signature lunch program.

As part of the schedule, each day begins with a 2-4 hour early morning hike, followed by activities such as yoga and strength training.
Prices start between $3,000 and $4,000 per retreat, including food, drinks, and a daily 50-minute massage. Additional treatments such as IV therapy, chiropractic treatment, and colonic hydrotherapy are also available as add-ons. All food at The Ranch Hudson Valley will be vegan and no alcohol will be served. Please note that the property does not have a television and the use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited.
Ranch Hudson Valley’s setting truly sets it apart from its California flagship. While The Ranch Malibu’s aesthetic leans toward a modern farmhouse, the Hudson Valley property is a 200-century building centered around a mansion built in the early 20th century for the daughter of famed financier JP Morgan. Possibility of purchase or withdrawal
Dozens of high-level advisors toured The Ranch Hudson Valley at a preview held in early March ahead of the opening. The property’s stone, castle-like façade made a grand first impression, but the public spaces, including its lavish two-height staircase and painstakingly restored wood-paneled great room, It further enhanced the atmosphere of the palace.
Ranch Hudson Valley may be aimed primarily at wellness enthusiasts, but preview attendees’ reactions show that design and architecture buffs have plenty to admire, too.

Chris Reed, The Ranch’s vice president of global sales, said the property is making a concerted effort to work with advisors to spread awareness about the possibility of group buyouts and corporate retreats. When shopping, guests have more flexibility to customize their programs and food and beverages, including adding non-vegan meals and alcoholic beverages to the mix.
“We just started taking reservations a couple of weeks ago, and we already have about 380 reservations and seven corporate groups,” Reed said during the tour, adding that The Ranch Hudson Valley is responding to reservations. It added that it pays a 10% commission.
The Ranch offers advisors a unique, high-end wellness product that is niche, but appropriate for the right clientele.
“This is the perfect place for our clients on the East Coast and New York to take a quick getaway to focus solely on wellness and health,” said Kylie Lloyd, an advisor at Embark Beyond, who attended the preview.
Mr Lloyd acknowledged that wellness seekers looking for a relaxing getaway might not be a great fit with The Ranch Program, but customers looking for something more guided would likely want to try the property. would be interested in seeing it.
“It takes a certain mindset, but I think you just need to know what you’re getting yourself into,” Lloyd said. “This is for people who are striving to become healthier and want to make lasting lifestyle changes.”
