Dairy as a health and wellness product

The California Milk Advisory Board announced the return of its Real California Milk Excelerator Competition, focused on health and wellness startups. Focused on promoting value-added products using real milk, the competition features an immersive mentorship program and access to non-dilutive capital. The 2024 program will also feature a new Future of Dairy Expo event during the final presentations, bringing together past winners and other industry leaders to showcase how real dairy meets the needs of modern consumers.
The program is the largest dairy accelerator in the world and seeks companies developing innovative products (made with at least 50% real milk or dairy products) that leverage the benefits of dairy to promote health, wellness and overall well-being. This includes but is not limited to healthy formulations, digestive health, cognitive function, functional ingredients, hydration, portion control, self-care and more. This year’s competition will offer up to $500,000 in cash prizes and program value.
