As it looks to open a second location, franchise owner Daniel Noga Sisto said Shelton has many characteristics that make it a perfect fit for the company.
“Shelton is a growing community with well-known brands. [and] “There are a lot of businesses investing heavily in this area,” Noga-Sisto told Patch. “The demographics of the city align perfectly with our core customer base for Club Pilates.”
The location in Fountain Square, where numerous new businesses have opened this year alone, was also an attractive factor.
“Fountain Square is a beautiful plaza in a prime location on Bridgeport Avenue,” Noga Sisto said, “with strong anchor tenants, great parking and easy access from the freeway.”
Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell congratulated Club Pilates on joining the growing number of businesses that have recently moved into Fountain Square.
Purcell said recent businesses opening at the Plaza in 2024 include Crumble Cookies, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Sugar Llamas, as well as health and wellness businesses such as Physicians One Urgent Care, Stretch Lab, European Wax Center and a new Eye Care Center.
Playa Bowls, a chain that specializes in acai, pitaya and coconut bowls and specialty smoothies, also announced earlier this month plans to open a new location in Fountain Square later this year.
“Club Pilates is the latest addition to the growing collection of exciting new businesses that have set up shop in Fountain Square over the past few months,” Purcell said. “This is the second Club Pilates franchise owned by Daniel Noga Sisto and it’s off to a great start with many of the instructional classes being fully booked seven days a week.”
Noga Sisto said Club Pilates is Shelton’s only boutique fitness Pilates studio. Offering group classes using 12 reformers, the studio is open seven days a week and averages 80 classes per week.
“We have an amazing team,” Noga-Sisto says. “All of our instructors are extensively trained, certified and have years of experience.”
The studio also hosts free introductory classes every week, allowing interested but unsure clients to find out more about the Club Pilates experience.
“For those who don’t like group fitness or would prefer a one-on-one experience, we also offer private training sessions,” Noga-Sisto said.
Noga-Sisto said Pilates is “life-changing” and encouraged anyone interested in Pilates to come to Fountain Square and give it a try, regardless of experience.
“It’s really open to everyone,” Noga Sisto says. “Don’t be afraid of your equipment, physical strength or lack of experience. Beginners are welcome.”
