An oasis in Town Center Park, offering residents 18 and older a space for quiet reflection and art.
In a major step toward promoting health and wellness, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is proud to announce the City’s newest addition: the Meditation Garden at Town Center Park. Located in the heart of a vibrant urban community, this tranquil oasis will provide a space for reflection, meditation and art appreciation.
The city held a grand opening event on Wednesday, May 29, at Town Center Park, located at 17200 Collins Avenue. Residents 18 and older were invited to experience a unique evening featuring live music by renowned pianist Murray Hidary of Mind Travel. Guests were guided by soothing melodies playing through headphones, immersing them in a meditative experience.

The new Meditation Garden is the city’s only adults-only park. While the city has 11 parks with play areas for families and children, the Garden offers adults a quiet space to relax. ADA-accessible walkways allow park-goers to stroll and enjoy nature, and the Garden also features benches along the walkways and in the central area. Additionally, a new art installation by artist Mike Szabo adds a unique atmosphere to this tranquil setting.
“It will be a place to meditate, take walks and read books. We will also host yoga and art events,” Mayor Svechin said.
Originally conceived by the city’s Public Arts Advisory Committee, the Meditation Garden is a testament to the community’s commitment to creating a space that enhances the quality of life for all residents, which played a crucial role in the garden’s design and layout.
