According to a PIB press release, the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has launched the Pharmaceutical Research and Innovation in Ayurveda (PRAGATI-2024) initiative to promote research and innovation in the field of Ayurveda.
The initiative aims to provide an opportunity for collaboration between CCRAS and the Ayurvedic pharmaceutical industry.The launch of PRAGATI-2024 was attended by various dignitaries including Secretary, Ministry of Ayurveda Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Director General, CCRAS Ravinarayan Acharya and Advisor, Ministry of Ayurveda (Ayu) Koustubha Upadhaya.
In his address, Kotecha highlighted the growing importance of the Ayurvedic industry in India and globally. He stressed that research and innovation are needed to drive growth in the sector. He also said he is confident that new practitioners and start-ups in the industry will provide significant growth opportunities.
