Carol Burnett likes to drink her drinks her way.
Laura Dern, who attended a ceremony on Thursday, June 20, outside the famed TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., where the 91-year-old Burnett’s limbs were set in plaster to the ground, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the legendary star and her favorite drink order.
“She has this amazing card that she gives to the bartenders for the Carol Burnett Cosmopolitan,” Dern, 57, said.
“And it has Carol’s recipe right there,” the actress continued. TV and film producer Jamie Lemmons added, “She gives it to all her bartenders. And it has her own portrait in it.”

Dern and Lemmons said Burnett’s drink card was their cue to inform the actress and comedian that she would be honored at a ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
The two created a similar card, but instead of Burnett’s standard drink order, it featured an image of the star standing in front of a famous Hollywood attraction.

“Jamie and I were together, one virtually and one in person, and I said, ‘I made these cards because I’ve been so inspired by you as a producer and everything you’ve done, and I love the cards you made for the bartenders too, so I wanted to give you one of our new cards,'” Dern explained.
“She took it and said, ‘What?’ And it was a card with her portrait on it.” Big Little Lies Starr added: “And we told her.”

Lemons said Barnett was surprised by the honor and “moved to tears” at the event, which came less than two weeks ago.
Attending the weekday ceremony were Burnett, Dern, Lemmons and Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke. The Carol Burnett Show, It aired for 11 seasons from 1967 to 1978.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were Bob Mackie, Allison Janney, Bill Hader, Jane Lynch, Lisa Ann Walter, Bob Odenkirk and Maya Rudolph.
Jimmy Kimmel also spoke at the ceremony, and afterward, the 56-year-old talk show host posted on social media, “Thank you to Carol Burnett for giving me the honor of honoring you with a well-deserved and long overdue handprint and footprint ceremony in Hollywood this morning.”
