The store, which has been operating on Cecil Street for more than three years, will be relocating to 3 Lonsdale Street, with the business due to open on July 6th.
Owner Michelle Dunning, a licensed clinical hypnotherapist, is excited to be able to give more back to the town.
“We’ve seen a lot of growth in our crystal business, as well as the popularity of our workshops. It’s great to see independent businesses growing.”
“Since COVID, I think people have leaned a lot more towards the holistic side of things.
“I’ve become a qualified teacher offering art workshops and I wanted a bigger space to host them. It’s a great place for relaxation and people to let their minds off the beaten path.”
“Our space will create a sense of community,” she said.
Michelle will continue to offer hypnotherapy sessions via her J&M Therapies site.
The new store will be spread across three floors, providing plenty of space to not only sell the shop’s diverse crystals and holistic therapies, but also to host a range of workshops and community events.
“We’ve secured a space to provide hypnotherapy, but we’ll also be renting out the room on a half-day basis to help businesses that are just starting to secure space.”
“We have a few people committed so far, but we’re still looking for more,” she said.
The tradition of a friendly atmosphere will continue to be a part of the store’s culture.
“In our current store, we always say that you come in as a customer and leave as a friend, and we’re looking to incorporate this philosophy into our new, relaxed space,” Michelle said.
In addition to the new art workshops, the adaptable space will be available to rent for anyone wanting to host their own workshops.
Starting in August, Crystals and More will also be hosting Hypnotherapy Healing Circles on the last Thursday of every month.
In addition, there will be an art and sculpture session on Wednesday evenings, with all materials provided.
The first 10 customers who walk in on July 6 will also receive a gift bag.
