- Bach Original Flower Remedy Holly Claims to Manage Negative Emotions
- Holly is a remedy for very negative and aggressive feelings directed towards others.
Whether it started with a suspicious text message on our partner’s phone or a few glances at a bar, we’ve all felt jealous at some point.
Scientists have also discovered that the areas of the brain that control jealousy are the same ones that sense actual physical pain, perhaps explaining why it feels so painful to be jealous of a cheating partner.
But one doctor and his team believe they’ve found the answer to this common ailment in the form of a £6.65 eye drop which they claim curbs feelings of envy and jealousy.
Bach Original Flower Remedy Holly claims to help you control negative emotions and “focus on the future instead of jealousy.”
The new product comes from the makers of Rescue Remedy, which says it uses a system of flower essences to help us rediscover the positive aspects of ourselves and live mentally healthier lives.
The key ingredient in their latest product is holly, which the makers say is ideal for those who experience extreme jealousy, envy, suspicion, hurt feelings or a desire for revenge.
According to the product, which can be bought from Boots and most health food stores, Holly is actually a remedy that relieves extremely negative and aggressive feelings directed towards others, such as hatred, suspicion, jealousy and malice.
The root problem is a lack of love, and the solution apparently works to promote generosity of heart and openness towards others, ideal for those who are occasionally assailed by thoughts of jealousy, envy, revenge and suspicion.
Dr Bach advises those who suffer from jealousy to place two drops directly on the tongue whenever they feel negative emotions rising.
His herbal remedies date back more than 75 years and many of the plants he uses come from his own Bach Centre gardens in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Speaking about the product, Eloise Bauskis, naturopath, herbalist and nutritional therapist at The Nutri-Centre, said: “While we can’t guarantee that your jealousy or envy will go away, it may be worth giving flower essences a try as a gentle way to resolve your emotional ‘problems.'”
“Flower essences have been used for centuries with great success to address emotional ‘problems.'”
“Many flower essences have been used around the world, from Bach flowers to those made by Australian Aboriginals who first discovered the therapeutic properties of flower essences to effectively ‘heal’ emotions.”
“Holly is a Bach flower essence that specifically targets any strong negative emotion such as jealousy, hatred, revenge, suspicion, etc. You may need to take this essence for a while to overcome these feelings, but it is also worth reflecting on why these feelings exist in the first place and whether they stem from a lack of confidence or self-love.”
“Another option is Confidence Boost by Flower Essences of Australia from The NutriCentre, which is effective in boosting self-confidence and courage, especially if you’re feeling low self-esteem or a lack of self-worth.”
