Morgan Terman, Registered Dietitian (RDN) at Event Management, Dining and Hospitality (EMDH), will be honored with the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year (RYDY) Award through the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on March 23rd. ” was awarded.
The RYDY Award aims to recognize registered dietitians under the age of 35 for their abilities and contributions in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Mr. Turman was selected as the sole recipient of the 2024 award from among many eligible candidates.

She was recognized for her work in the field of nutrition both at Illinois State University and the surrounding area. At Illinois State University, her work includes working one-on-one with students with special dietary needs, conducting allergen awareness training, creating meal plans for the university’s labs, and mentoring nutritionist interns. Outside of Illinois, Turman serves on the board of the Central Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and she writes nutrition-related articles for Everygirl Media Group.
“Registered dietitians around the world work hard to improve people’s lives through nutrition,” Terman said. “I am very passionate about my role as a nutritionist and am proud to have my work recognized in this way. I am looking forward to what my career will take. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our campus community by supporting students with special dietary needs and promoting inclusivity through food.”
