Britain’s worst football team wins their next match 7-1 with the help of a hypnotherapist

The players from Britain’s worst football team won their next game 7-1 with the help of a hypnotherapist.

Swansea Senior League side CWM Albion finished last season with 22 wins and 22 losses, with a goal difference of -191, and were named Britain’s most feared team by the Specsavers earlier this season. But since then, they have been on a mission to turn their fortunes around.

They asked legendary manager Harry Redknapp to put them through their paces and introduced strict new rules regarding drinking, sex and curfew.

But two centre-backs, Colin Gill, 58, and Chris Pippin, 36, went a step further and turned to expert hypnotherapist Zoe Crews to give them a mental edge.

And in their first match since Colin and Chris met with Zoe, Cwm not only defeated FC Bonnyman third place, they defied the odds with a 7-1 win. This was Cwm’s second win of the season, having previously not won a game in three years.

Their surprising turnaround is featured in an entertaining YouTube series.

Zoe is one of London’s most recommended hypnotherapists and has spent 20 years in the industry working with top athletes including golfers, darts and snooker players.

“Hypnotherapy is probably something they don’t even think about. Most people don’t,” Zoe says. daily star sports. “But it’s a really good tool for allaying anxiety. When you perform as badly as they did and lose every game, you lose confidence and motivation.

“They were a very resilient team and that’s what I really felt. For them to have that kind of support and for me to be a part of that support is a really positive thing. I felt like, and I was happy.”

Colin and Chris were naturally lost in thought during the session, which Zoe says is normal for people starting hypnotherapy.

“Many people who come to my clinic are skeptical, but at the same time, they really want to change whatever their subconscious problem is,” Zoe explains. “People have seen things like stage hypnosis and they’ve seen all these fancy things, so people’s perception of hypnosis is that they’ve seen all these crazy things.

“But that’s using hypnosis recreationally, whereas in this situation we’re using hypnosis therapeutically. Chris and Colin were interested in hypnosis, but they were nervous. I was there.

“It’s common for people to be skeptical about hypnosis, but the great thing about hypnosis is that you don’t have to believe in it for it to work, you just have to follow my instructions. I have a lot of people who come to me who don’t believe in hypnosis, they don’t believe in it at all, but they still get great results and that’s the great thing.”

Zoe’s sessions with Colin and Chris first included a questionnaire to learn about their anxieties, audio recordings where she attempts to tap into their subconscious minds, and one-on-one sessions.

“Generally what we have is anxiety, motivation and focus, but different people have different triggers. Colin and Chris were very different to work with.

“Colin’s problems were rather anxiety-based, so he was thinking about the worst things that were happening, catastrophic things, and when people said negative things from the side of the pitch he got triggered. We’re working on it specifically for Colin because in the morning when he starts getting his uniform ready for the game, the anxiety kicks in.

“With Chris it was different. His concentration was his focus and how he stays focused during the match.Chris was very vocal and full of energy at the beginning but as the match progressed You feel that way, especially when the game is progressing.” You lose that energy on the downhills.

“So reducing anxiety, increasing confidence, increasing focus, and getting the right level of mental alertness are generally working on the same thing, but finding the right level. That’s because when you’re too mentally alert, it becomes anxiety.”

“It forces them to focus on what they want instead of what they don’t want, because it’s so easy to focus on what you don’t want. As humans, we 70% is spent on detection” on threats and survival. ”

Zoe’s method is brain-centered and focuses on preventing the subconscious mind from overtaking conscious thoughts.

CCWM Albion concede goals early in the season

“If you think about one of Colin’s triggers, it’s when he’s getting his kit ready for a game and he starts to feel that anxiety in the pit of his stomach. “From now on” is a phrase often used in hypnotherapy, but for Colin, “From now on, as soon as the kit is ready, you will feel confident and calm.” I was like, “I guess so.” .

“It will take some time to evaluate, but what I can tell you is that we were both very good at hypnosis. I had been trained in stage and street hypnosis and hypnotherapy. , we did some fun things in front of the camera, things like me sticking Colin’s hand together, which showed that their subconscious mind was open to my suggestions.

“You can’t always judge how completely someone’s mindset has changed, because you have to see how it is in the real world. But what I can say with certainty is that they are hypnotized. It means that he responded very well to the technique, and that it must have had a positive effect.”
