Milpitas, California – The Brahma Kumaris here in Silicon Valley celebrated the opening of their new Om Shanti Meditation Center on June 22. The event was a joyous gathering filled with expressions of joy, gratitude and love, attended by Sister Mohini, Sister Jayanti, other Brahma Kumaris administrators and dignitaries.
Brahma Kumaris Silicon Valley, under the leadership of Sister Kusum Kejriwal, has been serving the Bay Area for over 28 years. The Om Shanti Meditation Center is a testament to their dedication, built with a heartfelt passion and desire to bring the transformative benefits of Raja Yoga meditation to the local community, the organization said.
Open to people of all religious and cultural backgrounds, the center is a place to reflect on and witness the transformative benefits of Raja Yoga and meditation, the press release said.
The centre said it would host spiritual retreats, self-development series and provide values-based education to children, with the aim of enabling individuals to discover and embody their best selves.
Brahma Kumaris is the world’s largest women-led religious organization with over 9,000 centers in over 115 countries and over one million students. For over 80 years, its leaders have embodied unwavering courage and unwavering faith, fostering unity and working tirelessly for a better world, according to a press release.
