Shrewsbury – Jennifer Caron went from accounting to acupuncture.
Caron, who worked as an accountant right out of college, began feeling the effects of the extremely long hours, travel, and high-stress work in her early 20s. She was having pain in her neck, insomnia, and fatigue. Caron began receiving acupuncture to treat her illness, along with regular chiropractic and occasional massage therapy. She found this combination of treatments so effective that she decided to change her career to something that resonated more with her.
Caron completed a three-year master’s program at the New England School of Acupuncture and upon graduating in 2009, she opened her own practice in Worcester called BODY Therapeutics, operating in the city for 14 years before moving to a conveniently located brand new hospital. I moved. She opened an office in Shrewsbury last summer.
Along with a staff of four acupuncturists, four massage therapists, and a chiropractor, Caron is committed to helping people feel safe and feel their best, just as these therapies helped Caron nearly 20 years ago. We are dedicated to helping you enjoy your stay. BODY Therapeutics is designed to help people feel their best by offering a wide range of services from a collaborative team. While some patients choose to use only one service or the other, most patients find a multidisciplinary approach that combines multiple treatment styles to be more effective.
“The whole idea is that no one of our specialties is better than the other. Coordinated by a collaborative care team, the synergy of all of them produces the best results. Caron told Community Advocate. “We can help recommend different treatment combinations depending on the patient’s symptoms.”
BODY Therapeutics’ 10 practitioners bring a variety of skill sets and specialties to better assist patients. With so many different specialties, patients can easily find a practitioner or style they identify with.
Although each practitioner has a different area of expertise, one thing they all have in common is that they are experienced and trustworthy. Caron takes pride in hiring highly talented people who are experts in their field. The BODY Therapeutics team has more than 170 years of combined experience.
“Experience in this kind of field helps practitioners become more intuitive because they have worked with so many people before; they have been through these situations before; We know how to solve them. Decades of experience allows you to be more in tune with people’s energies and bodies. Experience is very important,” Caron said. “At the same time, we also hired new practitioners who have exceptional patient care skills, are standouts in their class, and have quickly proven to be an asset to our team. ”
“I am extremely grateful to all of our practitioners and proud of their longevity with us. Eight of our 10 practitioners have been with us for more than four years, and among them Some have been with us since our inception 15 years ago, and our new staff members are quickly welcomed and much loved by our team and patients,” she added.
Treatment is not all about pain treatment. For example, BODY Therapeutics frequently treats back and neck pain, but also migraines, headaches, emotional issues such as depression and anxiety, digestive disorders, allergies, autoimmune diseases, infertility and menstrual health. It also treats other conditions such as women’s health issues such as. more. BODY Therapeutics can also help promote general health and serve as a preventive measure to prevent illness and disease. In either case, the clinic provides each patient with an individualized recovery plan, which sometimes includes multiple treatments.
“Many people call in sick and are unsure of which services to try. We help triage them to the treatments we think are best for them to start with. Sometimes it’s one treatment, sometimes it’s two treatments at once. It’s very unique to each individual,” Caron said.
“We offer three of the most effective holistic treatments. Everyone can find a practitioner and style in our team that speaks to them. Our friendly and… It’s often said that a cheerful team lifts people’s spirits and makes them feel better the moment they walk in the door. And it’s really nice to see them leave feeling so much better after a session. “It’s amazing and we’re grateful for the work we’re able to do,” she added.
