Blake Lively enters the kitchen to prepare a surprise feast.
Her soda brand, Betty Boo’s, has announced a new partnership with Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, best known for owning the famed New York restaurant Daniel. In an Instagram video announcing the collaboration, Lively plays the role of a chef, meticulously preparing a dish to impress Boulud.
of It ends with us As the 36-year-old actress bustles around Daniel’s immaculate kitchen, chopping cherries, pineapple and lime, melting butter in a frying pan and, of course, pouring a generous dollop of blanco tequila into the pot, she’s wearing a neatly ironed white chef’s uniform, her hair tied back.
After filling her wooden spoon with the fruity concoction and giving it a satisfying taste, Lively prepares to present her creation to Boulud. Her suspense builds and she lifts the silver platter to reveal a surprise. It was a plate full of canned Betty Booze cocktails.
Boulud then took “the happiest sip” (described in a press release) of the brand’s new smoky pineapple-infused sparkling tequila, jumped into a beautiful river, ran dramatically through a field, and… I got married and had a series of beautiful memories.
The award-winning chef then stands up and hugs Lively, seemingly thanking her for the drink.
As part of the collaboration, Lively also curated her own choice box, the Joji Box by Betty B . The box, which will be sold at one of Boulud’s New York City takeout sushi restaurants, JojiBox, comes with a selection of Boulud sushi handpicked by Lively and a choice of Betty Boo’s new smoky pineapple-flavored drink or the brand’s classic lime-shiso sparkling tequila.
And the pair still have something to celebrate: Boulud’s Big Apple restaurants, George Box, Epicerie and Blue Box Cafe, will now be serving Betty Boos and Betty Buzz to patrons.
“I’ve been keeping this news under wraps for a while now. @BettyBooze is now available to watch across the nation,” she captioned the Instagram post. “Thank you @danielboulud for making all my little chef dreams come true. ♥️🐭🍽️♥️”
