With a distinguished career in the wellness and hospitality sector, Hawco has previously worked with spa operators such as Rosewood, Jumeirah and Dusit.
Banyan Group (formerly Banyan Tree Group) rebranded in January to celebrate its 30th anniversary and expansion into a multi-brand hospitality company.
The organization plans to announce 19 new destinations in 2024.
International wellness industry veteran Paul Hawko has taken on the role of Executive Director of Integrated Wellbeing at independent hospitality group Banyan Group.
With a background in therapy and fitness training, Hawko began her wellness career over 10 years at the Accor-owned Fairmont Resort and Hotel. He was promoted from Spa Therapist to Senior Spa Director and honed his expertise in various leadership positions within spas across North America.
Having moved into the corporate wellness sector, Hawko spent nearly 17 years with reputed hotel management companies such as Jumeirah Group, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, and Dusit Hotels and Resorts, most recently from May 2020 to April 2024. Served as Corporate Director of Wellness Division.
By joining Banyan Group, Hawco will be responsible for steering the group’s strategic vision and executing its comprehensive spa and wellbeing initiatives across all brands and guest journeys.

Having doubled its portfolio since 2019, the group now oversees 12 global brands comprising 75 hotels and resorts, over 60 spas and galleries, and 14 branded residences across 22 countries.
Banyan Tree shows no signs of slowing down heading into 2024, with plans to announce 19 additional destinations throughout the year.
